Hi. My real name isn’t Karen. What is real is my addiction to alcohol which has fucked with my head and is starting to fuck with other parts of my life. I have wanted to stop drinking for a number of years.

I am many things, just like you. I also had gastric bypass in 2012 and I think my Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) was a transfer addiction after I could no longer gorge endlessly on food. What a bummer… trading one harmful addiction for another.

I grew up in NY state and I now live in New England.

I’m trying to right the ship. I’m trying to figure out my life and what I want in it.
